Why We Don't Do Ugly

Although it pains us to admit it, not everyone shares our passion for Prefab. Many people are stuck on an outdated stereotype of the prefab home. Most often that stereotype pegs Prefab as temporary –suitable for mining communities or beach huts – and remembers that once upon a time (and possibly still to this day with some builders), prefab was ugly.

Let us explain. To us ugly is:

  • Thoughtless design – Unimaginative and uninspired spaces that simply add square meterage without considering how the space will be used and what will make it feel great.

  • Beauty on the backburner – When budget is king and style and aesthetics are of little importance.

  • Cheap and nasty – When cost-savings is the number one priority, and a practical-not-pretty approach replaces good looks and quality finishes with one-dimensional and uninspired spaces.

  • Plonked without planning – When little or no consideration is given to where on the site the new build will go, and no thought is given to the environment in which it sits.

  • That’ll do approach – When getting the job done becomes more important than getting it right.

In a nutshell – we don’t do ugly. We only do fabulous – strikingly architectural, devastatingly good-looking, thoroughly finished and great value for money.

Take a look for yourself.
